There are harmful food ingredients that you can find in common foods and snacks. These harmful food ingredients and additives can have devastating health outcomes for human body.

In the first place on the scale of the most harmful food ingredients are clearly the so-called trans fats, which are not only one of the causes of obesity, but also significantly increase the risk of heart attacks.

It is well known that industrially processed oils are hidden in chips, ready meals and fast food, but also in delicious baked goods such as croissants and puff pastry.

Many of you probably already know that preservatives should be avoided as they are considered to be harmful to our health. How so?

Foods that contain them are usually full of chemically produced acids or salts that not only upset our cardiovascular system, but can even cause unpleasant side effects such as nausea or diarrhea in sensitive people.

The devilish ingredients can be found especially in animal and frozen goods, of which we should try to eat as little as possible from now on. A healthy alternative are, for example, freshly cooked dishes made from natural ingredients, with which you definitely can’t go wrong.

Sugar variants and flavor enhancers

Anyone who thinks that they will not gain weight with sugar substitutes or that it is less damaging to their health is wrong. The artificial sugar alternative does not contain any glucose (carbohydrates).

Since the food only deceives our intestines, however, it eventually pulls the glucose from other foods and, thus, absorbs it anyway.

In a nutshell: You should avoid ingredients such as fructose, sucrose, maltose, lactose and glucose syrup from now on.

High-fructose corn syrup

Chemically speaking, sugar and the so-called glucose-fructose syrup (corn syrup) are the same thing. In terms of price, however, the latter is cheaper because it is obtained from the starch of corn.

Unfortunately, this ingredient is being used more and more in the food industry, which, by the way, is particularly popular for the preparation of baked goods as it makes the dough much softer.

Corn syrup is harmful to our health in that it causes food cravings and upsets our insulin levels. Serious illnesses such as high blood pressure and diabetes are among the long-term consequences.

Zero sugar products

Our beloved zero sugar drinks and snacks are now off limits, because the latest studies show that these products can lead to diabetes, the metabolic syndrome (abdominal obesity, high blood pressure, lipid metabolism disorders and insulin resistance) and obesity in the long term.

In addition, so-called light foods often contain sugar substitutes and sweeteners, which have fewer calories than traditional sugar, but cause obesity as a result.

How is that possible? With the consumption of products that contain these ingredients, we get our palate used to the artificial taste, so that our body then increasingly demands the sweet poison.

We then gain weight and get sick accordingly. One chemical sweetener I want to especially emphasize:


The sweetener aspartame provenly causes health problems

Aspartame is a sweetener that, like sugar, has four kilocalories per gram. Since aspartame is 200 times sweeter than white table sugar. Therefore, you only need a fraction of the amount of sugar from this sweetener, and, thus, calories are irrelevant in this case.

Aspartame is also known as “NutraSweet”, “Canderel” or simply E 951. It is a popular sweetener because it tastes so “naturally” like sugar. Other sweeteners, such as saccharin, often have a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Below is a small selection of the 92 allegedly well-documented symptoms that can be traced back to aspartame poisoning:

  • Cancer
  • Dizzy spells
  • Trembling
  • Abdominal pain
  • Fluctuations in blood sugar levels

Soda with aspartame or rather directly formaldehyde?

Nevertheless, aspartame was approved as a food additive by the same authority. People are led to believe that they would eat particularly healthily if they preferred light or diet products.

Furthermore it is claimed, in a dangerous ‘brainwash manner’, that even children can be “fed” with sweeteners such as aspartame without hesitation.

Methanol, which is produced when aspartame is broken down in the body, breaks down further within the human system – namely into formaldehyde and formic acid.

Formaldehyde is found in wood glue and is used as a preservative in cosmetics; it can even be mixed in baby shampoos. Although it was recently officially classified as a mutagenic substance, its use is by no means prohibited!

Incidentally, the amount of formaldehyde that you automatically add to yourself as a long-term consumer of aspartame is much higher than new plywood furniture can ever release.

The most common symptoms of methanol or formaldehyde poisoning are headache and dizziness, mainly blurred vision, advanced narrowing of the field of vision and destruction of the retina – up to, and including, blindness.

Important note for diabetics regarding aspartame

The latter is particularly essential for diabetics. Diabetes is generally considered to be a disease that can cause eye problems and not infrequently blindness. If you look at the average diabetic’s consumption of sweeteners, however, the question might arise as to whether it is actually diabetes that destroys the retina of the eye?

Or is it rather the large amounts of aspartame that are consumed every day?! After all they’re openly advertising Canderel sweetener, for example, as one of the best sugar substitutes for diabetics. And, they don’t even hide the fact that it’s main ingredient is aspartame. What are your thoughts about that?

The neurotoxin aspartic acid

The third component of aspartame – aspartic acid – also has it all: when this amino acid breaks the blood-brain barrier, which is not even fully developed in children, it slowly begins to destroy the nerve cells there.

Memory loss, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and many other problems for which conventional medicine has not yet found a clear cause can now develop.

Azo dyes

Last but not least, Azo dies. It’s approved for food that enters our bodies mainly through colorful sweets and drinks.

They are made from aniline. This has long been suspected of causing cancer. Azo colors are one of the most harmful groups of dyes.

Since some azo dyes are broken down into their starting compounds by enzymes, they are also considered to be carcinogenic. Due to their chemical structure, they can also trigger pseudo-allergic symptoms on the skin and respiratory tract in appropriately predisposed people.

In addition, cross-reactions can occur if there is already an intolerance to salicylic acid and its derivatives or to benzoic acid (E 210).

For people with diseases such as asthma or neurodermatitis, they are also considered to be questionable. I do not recommend consuming large amounts of azo dyes. If possible, stay away from them altogether.
